Rockin’ Trash Drone from Italy!

Circa Boia are a power Italian rowdy duo who create a rockin’ trash drone, raw power sound! Here’s awesome track ‘Doppler’ from brand new album ‘CIRCOBOAI’ – stream/buy here on Bandcamp.

Awesome Songs from Some of the Best Albums of 2017! @PRIESTS_TWEET @omniatl Wand Ty Segall

Washington, DC Priests debut album ‘Nothing Feels Natural’ is, in my opinion, one of the best albums of the year! Filled with scattershot punk tantrums, deep post-punk grooves and anti-corporate screeds. Even though it’s a more cerebral collection, it succeeds without sacrificing their raw force and amazing chemistry.  Katie Alice Greer’s deep, exacting wail is the band’s signature sound! Here’s powerful track ‘Appropriate’!

Ty Segall is one of the most amazing,  prolific musicians of our time! His new self titled album is definitely one of the best of  2017! The California shredder offers his many talents in one of his most consistent albums in years! Awesome psychedelic, garage rock sound that, as always, stands out on it’s own! Here’s my favorite rock & roll track of the album! ‘Break A Guitar’!

Paste Magazine wrote: ‘Opener “Break a Guitar” is a ripping statement of purpose, the kind of bombs-away rock ‘n’ roll fans can always depend on Segall to unleash, regardless of which genre he’s tinkering with. The album’s secret weapon comes in the not-so-subtle touch of ordained punk saint Steve Albini, whose crisp, low-end touch forces the crushers to flatten and the gentler songs to ring bell clear.’

Even though ‘WAND’ came from the punk-y scene of the neo-psych-garage revolution, they managed to completely separate themselves from the rest with one of the most thoughtfully dynamic albums to come out in 2017! This creative force stands along the grime-y sonic sludge of the Ty Segall/Meatbodies/Mikal Cronin set.’ Here’s amazing track ‘Plum’! Enjoy the trip!

Omni’s Multitask album is one of the most interesting sounds I’ve heard in 2017! They create an amazing collage of jerky guitars, hectic but at the same time contained sound. I’s incredible how guitarist (and former Deerhunter member) Frankie Broyles, bassist/vocalist Philip Frobos and drummer Doug Bleichner produce a sound so full of anxiety with so few elements. Amazing amazing stuff! Here’s ‘Southbound Station’!

The Nasty, Sultry Garage Rock Sound of @thedartsUS

The Darts are definitely one of the hottest, most exciting bands of 2017! They’re an outspoken, quick-witted, full-female powerhouse who create a high-voltage, adrenaline fueled rock and roll sound like no other! A mix of nasty 60s garage rock sound, grrrl riot fury spiced with The Crampsmadness and totally amazing hooks! Here’s nasty, sultry video for awesome new track ‘Get Messy’! from their dynamite debut album Me.Ow. Get ready for some frenzied, sharp-nailed cats!

Raw, Imflable Blues Rock Sound! From Los Angeles, CA! @DeapVally

Deap Vally are an explosion of hard-riffing blues-rock sound with a treated guitar, powerful machine-like drums and  supremely authentic screechy vocals! They’re a cacophonous combo of vocal howl and primitive bash! Nasty, imflamable, raw, primal blues rock at its best! Here’s awesome mental video for hard rocking ‘JULIAN’!

Powerful, Flamboyant Sound from Bristol! @theshimmerband

The Shimmer Band are definitely one of the most exciting new bands to come out of Bristol! They have a powerful live sound and create a towering psychedelic power rock sound like no other! The Shimmer Band burst onto the city’s live scene in early 2014 to become one of the most flamboyant and inspirational new sounds around! Newman cites “If you’re an artist in the southwest of England you gravitate to Bristol,” “That’s a no-brainer. ‘It’s a very creative city.’ Here’s awesome video for YA YA (UH OH)! Check it out here!

Here I leave you with an awesome live performance from Oct. 2 2017!
